In addition to leading the founding of the Prison Association of New York, John Edmonds served as Chairman of the Prison Association’s Executive Committee from Dec. 17, 1844, to about 1848. He served as Vice-President of the Prison Association itself from Dec. 17, 1844, to about early 1855.
